About Me

Hello, I'm Danielle Soulsby or Ginger for short. This will be an experimental blog to present what I'm capable of and as a Log for my creative endeavours. I suffer from Dyslexia and I do not like to be considered an artist. It is a personal preference to not call myself an artist so please respect that. I like working with cartoon characters including my personal characters that I built from the ground up. I also like to dabble in 3D modelling and I'm building up my program usage so I'm quite flexible with what programs I use. I'm a British, pale Ginger with the bouncy hair of a partygoer and the face of a drained soul. I'm hard to miss.

Personal info:
  • I have a habit of jumping into difficult tasks without too much previous experimenting. such as jumping straight into character modelling even though I only made 2 to 3 basic 3D models. Making complex textile projects back at school. trying to animate characters before making basic animations.  
  • I tend to hyper-fixate on particular franchises and shows from time to time. 
  • I have a tendency to be a perfectionist, being very hard on myself for work I create that is not up to the standards I set. 
  • I like to experiment with different materials and creative methods at my own pace without being pressured or pestered. 
  • Due to having issues with my dyslexia, I try to find ways to communicate and express myself in different ways. 
Hobbies and Interests: 
  • I love to collect figures and plushes, especially those that have good articulation and movability. Also, those that tend to have a very good likeness to the character.
  • I love soft lights or shiny things along the lines of Bubble lamps, marbles, crystals, fairy/Christmas/LED lights, Glow in dark stars, Glowsticks, Star/ Galaxy lights and more. 
  • I have issues or personal choices with specific textures and sensations (This possibly being influenced by Sensory issues) So I like specific fabrics, clothes and foods.
  • I like some forms of sports or physical activity such as biking, swimming, casual walks and climbing at times.
